Early Childhood Education Partnership

 Current Priorities:

  • Career/Industry Navigator: Developing a role to connect schools, students, and employers to resources and career pathways
  • Funding & Advocacy: Educating policymakers, advocating for expanded childcare funding, and connecting with funders
  • Healthcare & Benefits Cooperative: Exploring solutions to provide childcare providers with competitive benefits
  • Employer Support & Awareness: Utilizing the Eastern Oregon Employer Conference to educate businesses on supporting childcare
  • Internships: Identifying and expanding successful school-year internships in early childhood education

Natural Resources Sector Partnership

Current Priorities:

  • Youth Engagement Workgroup: Creating resources for career fairs, internships, and workforce exploration
  • Natural Resources Directory: A public resource for educational, workforce, and career opportunities
  • Career Pathway Document: Mapping clear career steps for natural resource jobs
  • Career Workshops: Expanding USAJobs workshops to include private, state, and nonprofit hiring

Employer Resource Partnership: Union County

This regional employer group for Union County, originally formed by HR professionals, is now convened by EOWB to provide tangible workforce solutions for local businesses. 


Current Priorities: 

Training & Leadership Development:

  • Creating a regional training directory
  • Offering entry-level management training
  • Hosting two Bureau of Labor & Industry (BOLI) supervisor training sessions in May & June
