EASTERN OREGON CAREER EXPO

The Eastern Oregon Career Expo takes place every year on the first Wednesday of April on Eastern Oregon University's La Grande campus. This year, it is on April 3rd.

This regionally focused event provides a venue for local employers to gain exclusive access to our impressive pool of jobseekers for internship, employment, and career opportunities and the possibility to educate them on your special industry!

The Eastern Oregon Career Expo is free to attend for both employers and students.

Before the Expo:

Come to this page frequently to view current Expo employers
Research employers you are considering
Prepare and/or update your general resumé
Practice your pitch and questions
Keep your day as free as possible to have a stress-free time at the event
Dress for success

During the Expo:

Remember: employers are already interviewing as you speak
Plan to have quality conversations with potential employers
Network: make contacts for now and later
Record all contact names, titles and contact information for follow-up conversations

After the Expo:

Follow up with employers
Explore company profiles and relevant job listings
Network with other students or alumni that have worked for the employers that you are interested in
Respond to employer’s inquiries or messages
Revise your resumé
Apply for active job openings
