Oregon Tribal Student Grant. Apply for the 2023-24 academic year.

Current, new and continuing students who are members of Oregon's 9 federally recognized tribes are encouraged to apply. The final deadline to apply for the 2023-24 academic year is April 5, 2024.    

Eastern Oregon Funding Opportunities

Strengthening Community Colleges Training Grants Funding Opportunity through DOL $65 million

 The U.S. Department of Labor announced the availability of $65 million in funding to increase the capacity and responsiveness of community colleges to meet employers' skill development needs and equitably support students in obtaining good jobs in in-demand industries.

Up to $25,000 demonstrating the ability to enhance economic vitality and opportunity by way of innovative and creative solutions in the Border Region. Apply at https://eoborderboard.org/


Community Improvement Planning Grant

Local governments within the

Border Region may apply for up to

$100,000 for planning projects such

as master plans, transportation

plans, airport plans, and park plans.


Ready Workforce Mobilization Grant

Businesses, non-profit organizations,

local governments and education

service providers may apply for up to

$100,000 for equipment, facility

upgrades, start-up costs, expansion

or other products and services

necessary to mobilize a workforce

such as housing, childcare,

transportation and accessibility.


 USDA provides zero-interest loans to local utilities which they, in turn, pass through to local businesses (ultimate recipients) for projects that will create and retain employment in rural areas.  


AWS InCommunities Umatilla County Fund $120,000 available

Call for applications! AWS has launched a new $120,000 fund for local community groups, schools and non-profit organizations in Umatilla County. Apply now for funding to start or expand a community project.


  Provides affordable funding to develop essential community facilities in rural areas - a facility that provides an essential service to the local community for the orderly development of the community 

Provides loans and grants to Microenterprise Development Organizations (MDOs) to: 

  • Help with startup and growth , and
  • Provide training and technical assistance
