Eastern oregon career expo

The Eastern Oregon Career Expo takes place every year on the first Wednesday of April on EOU's La Grande campus.


 This regionally focused event provides a venue for local employers to gain exclusive access to our impressive pool of jobseekers for internship, employment, and career opportunities.

The Eastern Oregon Career Expo is free to attend for both employers and students. For those businesses and organizations joining in-person, amenities include:                          

  • One 6-foot table and two chairs
  • Wireless internet access
  • Complimentary campus parking permit
  • Assistance with loading in/out of the venue as needed
  • Complimentary tea, water, and coffee.


The Eastern Oregon Career expo has limited tables with available electricity.  Please let us know if you need your table next to an electrical outlet and one will be provided on first-to-register basis.

Arriving on campus: Plan your visit to campus and be sure to pass along the campus map below to team members.
Parking permit procedure: Your parking permit and lot location will be shared in the final confirmation email. Please make sure all attending recruiters receive a copy.  You MUST print out the Parking Permit and place it on the dashboard of your car to avoid a ticket. 

 Cancellation Policy: Please contact EOWB staff at info@eowb.org as soon as you know you will be unable to attend.

Before the Expo:

  • Come to this page frequently to view current Expo employers.
  • Research employers you are considering.
  • Prepare and/or update your general resumé.
  • Practice your pitch and questions.
  • Keep your day as free as possible to have a stress-free time at the event.
  • Dress for success!

During the Expo:

  • Remember: employers are already interviewing as you speak!
  • Plan to have quality conversations with potential employers.
  • Network: make contacts for now and later.
  • Record all contact names, titles and contact information for follow-up conversations.

After the Expo:

  • Follow up with employers.
  • Explore company profiles and relevant job listings.
  • Network with other students or alumni that have worked for the employers that you are interested in.
  • Respond to employer’s inquiries or messages.
  • Revise your resumé.
  • Apply for active job openings.
